From meeting to Music Transformer
For more than fifty years, Prof. Dr. Bodo Lambertz has pursued a single question: what is the purest, truest form of musical reproduction the human ear can perceive? The answer required a partner. Backes & Müller, pioneers of active loudspeakers and masters of sensor controlled precision, brought fifty years of engineering to APANI's psychoacoustic research.
From that meeting came Cylindra, the first Music Transformer, a system that transcends the categories of conventional high fidelity. Every Cylindra is finished only after its final calibration in the actual listening room of its future owner, a process closer to voicing a Stradivari than tuning a loudspeaker.
